I never understood if you’re a friend or an enemy

Sometimes when I’m sad or hurt you strike with flashes

and images that only make things worse

when you ought to be comforting me

and sometimes you grant feelings which I wish you did not

Sometimes in times of joy, you double my happiness by

nicely decorating thoughts and memories

and sometimes you hit a bulls-eye with the feeling you bless me with

What I’m trying to say is I guess

sometimes you ought to give the workers a break

when you don’t

And sometimes you just have to give them to work double shifts

I own you and I don’t understand you

I own you and I have no control over you

I like what you do, more or less, you’re brilliant !

And  I know that you care about me and want only the best

Lots and lots of appreciation from me

In a world where there is no truth, you build the truth

Mine Own Kingdom

Have I ever told you about my kingdom?

Ahh, it is lovely ! You should see it !

It has gardens of my favorite items

and trees rooted to my deepest memories

oh, and you should see the seas of my dreams and hopes

Ahh, what a vast kingdom it is, and how powerful !

My personal kingdom guarded by my thoughts and beliefs

Nesting my own self and the close people that I care about

Roaming the days and nights

Sharing the fruits of life together

Where we daily write our holy books

and change what needs to be changed according to circumstances

We forge our own lies turning them to solid truths

This is my kingdom, my personal one

It is powerful, inviting, alive and usually peaceful

But any threat, no matter how small it is,

any threat, and it will be eliminated, that I assure you !
